My (not so) Little Kitty Cat

Good morning all I hope you are having a superb weekend so far xxx

Today I would like to introduce you to my kitty cat and his name is Oliver. I think he is around 13 but don't quote me on that!! I've chosen two quite silly pictures of him but I think they just about sum him up haha xxx

My mom actually took the first one of him and it purely coincidence that he stuck his tongue out when she took it and I took the second one when I found him like that and thought he looked so silly that i had to capture it on camera. I love him to absolute pieces.

We got him when he was just a teeny weeny kitten and his mom supposedly abandoned him but it more than likely that she went hunting or something and he was an absolute mental kitten; we were so close to taking him back but luckily we didn't because he's so lovely!!!!

Do you have any pets? if so please link me to a picture or a blog post about them because I'm very nosey!!! :)

That's all for now talk to you soon,
Lots of love from Emily xxxxxx

What I Wore Today

Hello lovelies, so today it is my younger brother's birthday and him and his friends went for some pizza. Me and my dad also went for pizza mainly to pay their bill at the end but we sat on a table on the other end of the restaurant .

Dress - Springfield
Shoes & Socks - Topshop

I thought I would share with you what I wore to lunch today because I really liked my outfit today and it's the first time I've worn my red shoes and they are just soo gorgeous!!!

These shoes are my favourite thing in the whole entire world, I adore them. I seem to remember having some exactly like this when I was around 5 as I've seen them in photo albums so when I saw them I knew I had to have them.

Please excuse my expression in the first picture I'm not sure why it looks so strange haha!!!

Speak to you soon xxxxx

I Capture The Castle Book Review

So I just finished reading this last night and I just had to review it!!!

I'm going to try and do a no spoilers review in case any of you want to read it :)

The book was written by Dodie Smith (she wrote 101 Dalmatians bet you didn't know that!) and was actually published in 1949 so it's been around for a while but it is very accessible and is written so beautifully that you find yourself longing to live in the novel.

The book starts off with "I write this sitting in the kitten sink. That is, my feet are in it". It is written in diary form by a girl called Cassandra (how I wish I was her) and she lives in a castle with her older sister, her father and her step mother. But this castle is absolutely run down and they have their father to thank for that; he wrote a very successful book and bought the castle with his earnings but then never wrote again leaving the family in cold and uncomfortable conditions.

Throughout the book Cassandra goes about capturing everyone and everything (hence I capture the castle) making it very descriptive and a pleasure to read. I absolutely loved it mostly because the characters are so well written and interesting and I loved each and every one of them and I didn't want it to end.

I don't want to give too much away so I will leave it at that but I would definitely recommend having a read because it just might be my favourite book.

A Little Blog Makeover

Hello lovelies I hope you are all doing well :)

As you have probably seen from the title, my blog has had a bit of a makeover and I absolutely adore it; I felt that the template I was using before was very busy and overcrowded and I prefer this more simple look and it's also a more relaxed looking blog.

I hope you like the more relaxed look because I certainly do!!! Let me know what you think in the comments if you do xxx

Bye for now,
Emily xxxxx

Sparkly Nails

Hello lovelies I hope you have all had a fab weekend xxx

Today I'm here to show you all this sparkly nail polish from Revlon. It is in the shade 340 stunning (that's the shade name although it is absolutely stunning Revlon I agree with you!!). It is a clear top coat with tiny silver shimmery bits and larger glitter chunks that sparkle wonderfully in the sunshine.

I bought it last Christmas because I found that I (surprisingly!) did not own a glitter nail polish and wanted to get into the Christmasy spirit of things. So after much longing for one my Mom bought it and we have agreed to share it.

There are many ways that you can wear sparkly nail polish you can wear it over another nail polish, do a sparkly french manicure, paint your ring finger glittery or just use the glitter on its own. When you just use the top coat you have to apply multiple layers until you get your desired glitteryness (wow I have over used the word glitter in this post I am very sorry)
I've done a big ol' close up for you so you can hopefully see what I mean about the small and large chunks of glitter. I think it is a really subtle look but when your hands catch the sunshine it looks "stunning".

I really like the quality of this Revlon nail polish and I really want to try some more (I've got my eye on a beautiful, cornflower blue shade)

Have you tried any of the Revlon nail varnishes? What colours do you recommend?

Thanks for reading and I'll talk to you soon :)

Lots of love,
Emily xxxxxx

What I'm Loving on Pinterest

Hello all I hope you're well xxx

Today I thought I would share my favourite pins from Pinterest of the week. If you want to check out my profile you can click HERE and you can have a mooch. I'll also leave the links to each pin so you can repin them if you fancy.

FASHION

shoes t-shirt
FIND THIS PIN HERE
This t-shirt is simply the sweetest thing I have ever seen and the "no one else could fill your shoes" is such a nice quote. I actually own a pair of shoes very similar to these and I'm planning on doing a blog post about them very soon so stay tuned.

I actually pinned this from ZARA myself as it is just simply beautiful. I think it will look lovely with bare legs or with tights and a thick jumper. When I next go to a ZARA I will have to try and find it.

sheer polka dot blouse.
FIND THIS PIN HERE
I've seen quite a lot of sheer polka dot shirts and I'm on the hunt for one. This one is absolutely gorgeous.

ACCESSORIES

A greenish-grey diamond, just right for moody fall days.
FIND THIS PIN HERE
This ring is stunning and I want it so badly!!! It's from an Etsy store (the Etsy profile on Pinterest is one of my favourites) and it is so beautifully made.

This bag has a very vintage feel to it and would look really sweet with little floral dresses. I actually hadn't realised it is Anthropologie until now and costs a small fortune so I'm not going to let myself get attached to it!!!

HAIR & BEAUTY

Femke Oosterkamp - love the bangs!
FIND THIS PIN HERE
I really fancy getting a fringe cut in but I've just grown my hair out from last time I decided to cut my hair short and i don't want to have to wait for it to grow out when i get fed up with it. But this looks lovely.

{hair}
FIND THIS PIN HERE
I think pink hair is really cute and I would love to have mine pink all over but I don't really have the guts to do it. I wish I did though!!

Zoeva Nude Palette It's the price of 2 Mac eye shadows and apparently according to Lilly Pebbles from What I Heart Today it is really good
FIND THIS PIN HERE
This palette has everything a neutral lover like me could ask for. It's definitely going to be going on my Christmas wishlist this year.

DIY

6 all-natural beauty scrubs to try | Clementine Daily
FIND THIS PIN HERE
This is actually from clementine daily (I'll link it HERE) and I thought it is really interesting so definitely go check that out.

DIY Orange Candles. Just add olive oil and light.
FIND THIS PIN HERE
Natural candles made from Oranges. These are really cool and I must try doing this as I've thrown orange peel on an open fire before and the smell was glorious!!!

Wow that's quite long so I will stop now as I could go on forever but if you want to see more of my pins feel free to visit my Pinterest page HERE.

Thanks for reading lovlies and comment below if you have a Pinterest and link me to it as I'm always looking for new boards to follow.

Lots of love,
Emily xxxx

I'm Such a Stationery Lover

Hello lovelies I hope you are all well xxx

Today I'm back with a post full of cute stationery. I am a stationery addict. I cannot get enough stationery so going back to school is one of my favourite times of the year because I get to buy loads of new stationery (so sad I know!)

Above I have got a red and white polka dot folder from Cath Kidston. Also from Cath I have a red pensil case with a really pretty floral print and by far my favourite thing ever is my geometry set as even the rulers and angle measurers are floral print!!!! I have left the link HERE it so you can have a good look at the insides xx My mint notebook with a red floral print on it is from The Works which is a seconds store and it is the perfect size to just throw in your bag and take down a few important notes in class.

Next I have all my "pink" stationery. I have a bright pink calculator which I got on Amazon as I'm doing A-Level maths so having a pretty calculator is essential!!! The green floral notebook with the little pen was given to me by some friends when we went over to stay with them during summer and it is my blogging notebook where I write down all my ideas. I got the little ice cream van notebook from the children's section in Wilkinson's (I usually find the best stationery in the kid's section) and it was just so cute I couldn't leave it behind... And finally I got my school diary from The Works too and it's really useful to just jot down homework and they usually give you one in school but they aren't very nice and this one has all kind of vintage prints on the front and it was only a couple of pounds so, it would have been rude not to buy it.

I hope I'm not the only one who is obsessed with stationery so if you are let me know and we can have a stationery fan club (what am I on about??!!) xx

Anyways, thanks for reading and thank you for your lovely comments on my last post they really made my day xxx
Until next time, Emily xxxx
